Provide a 6 pages analysis while answering the following question: Importance of Client Stage in Consulting Process. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. The first is related to understanding the nature of “social relationship with the client,” whereas the second deals with the prevalent “problem or opportunity” in any given situation (Cope, 2003).

Furthermore, the author sets forth various issues to be addressed in order to make sure that the consultant understands the clients and their perceptions, viewpoints, goals, etc. These issues include the following:

The client-consultant relationship plays a crucial role in all consulting processes, thus the above mentioned should be followed in order to ensure a solid foundation on which both parties can work together. Thus, the consultant is required to first create a good rapport with their client so as to reach the best possible solutions to any given problem. The two main disciplines to be followed in order to ensure the development of this strong relationship is “to challenge and educate” (MindShare Consulting LLC, 2014, p. 1). Thus the consultant needs to not only understand the presuppositions of his or her clients but also challenge them and make them realize the reality as compared to their assumptions. Furthermore, once the consultant enlightens the clients regarding their predispositions, next is providing explanations in simple terms. Here the consultant is supposed to help the client realize that they should aim for a long-term solution, rather than a quick fix, as the latter will only result in further problems. The client stage also considers the importance of maintaining a good balance between the needs of the client as well as the end consumer, thus all these needs are to be aligned appropriately and given equal importance. Additionally, the emotional and cognitive responses of the clients also need to be taken into consideration in order to propose the best solution.&nbsp.
