Step 3: Team 

For Step 3, you will meet with your faculty advisor and DNP Project mentor to discuss your identified practice problem 

or gap in practice that you will address through your DNP Project. You will also engage in identifying your team members for the DNP Project process, assess the organizational readiness of your site for your DNP Project, and conduct a SWOT analysis for the DNP Project.

Assignment: Project Purpose and Team Identification 

You will set up a meeting with your faculty advisor, DNP Project site leader(s) and/or project mentor to discuss the DNP Project, the Walden University requirements, and the DNP Project process. 

Your practice problem or gap in practice will be clearly identified, and additional team members and/or 

additional stakeholders that will participate in the DNP Project, including the DNP Project site leader(s) and/or project mentor. 

You will discuss stakeholder involvement as well as 

identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) related to your DNP Project.

The project approval form and site agreements will be introduced to the site representative and the process for signatures discussed. 

For this Assignment, you will submit the minutes of this meeting in the project course. Copies of the minutes will be shared with your preceptor/project mentor. Your stakeholder analysis form and SWOT analysis will also be submitted 

into the project course. 

To Prepare

Review the DNP Project Process Guide and the Minutes template provided in the Learning Resources 

· 

Be sure to set up a meeting with your faculty advisor, DNP Project site leader(s), and/or project mentor to explain the DNP Project and the Walden University requirements and process. 

Review the Organizational Readiness Assessment, Stakeholder Analysis, and SWOT Analysis templates provided in the Learning Resources. 

NOTE: The activities in the Evidence Based Practice I course (NURS 8502 or NURS 8504) may contribute to the planning for the DNP Project. Review the Organizational Readiness Assessment, Stakeholder Analysis, and SWOT Analysis you completed in your course, to determine if they apply to the DNP Project. 

• If the previously submitted documents apply and support the DNP Project, you will need to re-submit 

them for this Assignment in this course.

Note: The Minutes template should be used to develop all written minutes developed for your DNP Project. 

The Assignment 

Using the Minutes template, address the following: 

• Be sure to clearly identify your practice problem.

Be sure to clearly identify additional team members and/or additional stakeholders that will participate with you and the project mentor identified for your DNP Project. 

• 

Be sure to explain the site agreement and the process for obtaining the required signatures. 

· 

Review your previously submitted Organizational Readiness Assessment, Stakeholder Analysis, and SWOT Analysis or complete the templates required for this Assignment. 

By Day 7 

Submit your completed Minutes template, Organizational Readiness Assessment, Stakeholder Analysis, and SWOT Analysis.
