Step 6: Evidence Search
For Step 6, you will complete your evidence search to support your DNP Project. This will be the last step to complete
in Phase 1 to successfully pass this course with a grade of Satisfactory, if you elect to not continue with the other
phases at this time. Please note, that you may elect to complete the other phases for your DNP Project in the first term
enrollment of this course.

Justify adequate evidence generation to support review of practice/administrative-focused question for the DNP Project
Synthesize evidence from peer-reviewed literature for practice/administrative-focused question for the DNP

Now that you have completed the Question Development Tool and met with the Walden Librarian, you are ready to conduct a rigorous review of the evidence outlining the best practices that might best address your DNP Project practice problem.
To Prepare
Review the DNP Project Process Guide provided in the Learning Resources.
Review the Evidence Level and Quality Guide provided in the Learning Resources to help you in determining how you will appraise the evidence related to your DNP Project practice problem.
Review the Research Evidence Appraisal Tool and the Nonresearch Evidence Appraisal Tool provided in the
Learning Resources. You will use these tools to assist you in your review of the evidence related to your DNP Project practice problem.
Review the Individual Evidence Summary Tool and the Synthesis and Recommendations Tool to focus on for completing this Assignment.
Be sure to review the Synthesis resources from the Walden University Writing Center in preparation for this Assignment.
The Assignment
Complete all components of the Individual Evidence Summary Tool. Be sure to follow the guidelines and recommendations from the Evidence Level and Quality Guide.

Complete all components of the Synthesis Process and Recommendations Tool. Be sure to consult your Research (or Nonresearch) Appraisal Tools in completing this part of the Assignment.
By Day 7
Submit your completed Individual Summary Tool and Synthesis Process and Recommendations Tool.
Submission and Grading Information
To submit your completed Assignment for review and grading, do the following:
Please save your Assignment using the naming conventions: “Step6Summary+last name+first initial.(extension)”
and “Step6Synthesis+last name+first initial.(extension)” as the name.
Next, from the Attach File area, click on the Browse My Computer button. Find the document you saved
as “Step6Summary+last name+first initial.(extension)” and “Step6Synthesis+last name+first initial. (extension)” and click Open.
If applicable: From the Plagiarism Tools area, click the checkbox for I agree to submit my paper(s) to the Global Reference Database.
Click on the Submit button to complete your submission.
