The instructor greeted the students and checked on them and started the seminar off with mind therapy. She mentioned that the students are halfway through the course, with a few seminars remaining. She also promised to give back the grades before the end of the five days. She mentioned the students are doing well in the leadership activities. The practice experience logs are paramount so that the students document their activities in the assignments that account for the practical clinical hours for the course. In the final course assignment in unit 6, there is healthcare informatics. Unit 7 and eight are tied to the healthcare plans. In units 9 & 10, the students put up their insights on their nursing careers. The students have five weeks to book a phone call with the instructor. The phone call will be brief and examine the course objectives as part of the regulation for accreditation.  The summative form in unit 9 will have program outcomes that the students will have met. In unit 5, there are legal requirements and ethical responsibilities. This ties to the ethical responsibilities of nurses, such as standards of practice and medical errors. In unit 6, students are expected to be creative and generate better technology to solve medical problems such as apps. Health care technology such as text messaging, telehealth, global health monitoring such as prevention screening such as mammograms has been explored in the last ten years. The students will be expected to examine new technologies that are relevant to the population of interest. The students will assume a nurse leader position and innovative research technology that can help the community. The unit 6 presentation will include an introduction, learning outcomes, history of informatics in the healthcare U.S. system, acts defining informatics in the 21st century such as HIPAA, ACA, or FDAIS.  The students will also develop an app that can be used to help the population. The students will also discuss the uses, accessibility of the app. The last slide will contain a conclusion and references. The instructor requested students to include speaker notes and cite their resources.
